Erasmus+ Staff Mobility in Romania Strengthened International Academic Ties

Dr. Ayşe Betül Dönmez Tekin carried out an academic visit to the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest – University Centre of Pitești, Romania, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching Programme between 25 and 29 May 2026.

During the mobility period, Dönmez Tekin participated in various academic meetings and activities organized by the Faculty of Theology, Letters, History and Arts. She also had the opportunity to meet with academic and administrative staff members, particularly those affiliated with the Department of Theology. The meetings focused on educational activities, internationalization efforts, and opportunities to enhance inter-institutional academic cooperation.

As part of the programme, Dönmez Tekin also took part in cultural events and excursions organized by the host institution, gaining first-hand insight into Romania’s historical and cultural heritage. Reflecting on her visit, she emphasized that the warm hospitality and welcoming attitude of the host institution significantly contributed to the success and productivity of the mobility experience.

This Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching activity contributed to the exchange of academic experience, the strengthening of international collaborations, and the establishment of new institutional connections. Furthermore, it supported the internationalization goals of our Faculty and enhanced its international visibility.
